Chemical Dependency Expert Witness Michael Braman

 
 

Micheal B. Braman is a licensed Minnesota attorney and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. Prior to becoming a counselor, he practiced law in the Twin Cities for 20 years, focusing his practice on complex business litigation. Currently, Mr. Braman counsels at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, where he works with adult chemical addicts. In addition, he provided continuing education to judges, attorneys and chemical dependency counselors. He has authored, lobbied, and helped obtain the passage of chemical dependency related legislation, testified as an expert on chemical dependency issues at the legislature and in trial court proceedings at both state and federal levels and has been actively involved in the community on these issues.

Chemical dependency is an addiction to any mood altering chemical. These chemicals include, for example, alcohol (wine, beer or liquor); opiates such as Darvon, Demerol, Dilaudid, hydrocodone, morphine, Fentanyl, methadone, opium, Percocet, Percodan, Tylenol #3, Vicodin, Ultram, OxyContin, oxycodone, heroin; benzodiazepines such as Ativan (lorazepam), Klonopin (clonazepam), Librium (chlordiazepoxide), Valium (diazepam), Xanax (alprazolam), Restoril (temazepam), Serax (oxazepam); benzodiazepine like drugs such as Ambien and Lunesta; barbiturates such as fioricet, fiorinal; marijuana; cocaine and crack cocaine;  amphetamines such as Adderall and Ritalin (Concerta, methylphenidate); methamphetamines such as crank, ice, crystal and speed; hallucinogens such as Acid, LSD, mescaline, mushrooms, peyote; other stimulants such as Khat and ephedrine; over the counter substances such as Robitussin, NyQuil and Listerine; and miscellaneous substances such as amyl nitrite, Soma and steroids.
